Bookends forgets registration code

Hi Jon,

Great upgrade!

Probably a very stupid question. When I enter my registration-code in Bookend it works fine. But I'm afraid Bookends does not remember it. Every time I start Bookend I have to enter the registration code again. How can I avoid this?

Hi,

It's possible that there is a problem with Bookends preferences. Remove Bookends 9 AND Bookends 10 Preferences and relaunch Bookends. See if the serial number "takes" now...

Yep, that does the trick!

Do I have to keep the file 'Bookend 7 bookmarks' in the preferences folder? It seems to store the references to the attached documents???

Yes. The name was never changed (because the file hasn't changed since v7), but that's where bookmarks are stored (File -> Go To URL).

Just an FYI in case anyone else in the future runs into the same issue: I had the same problem, searched here in the forum for "registration" and found the solution easily. I deleted the Bookends 9 preference (having already tried deleting the Bookends 10 prefs) and now the registration sticks. Hurrah!
