Date ranges

Post by Svatopluk »

Right, I've taken the plunge and bought Bookends and Mellel.

Is there a way to put a date range (1776-1789) in the date-published field? As it stands now, Bookends only includes the first date in the range (so, 1776). With multi-volume works this is necessary.

Thanks!

You can put whatever you want in the date field. The trick to getting more than the first four digits output is to edit your output format. You need to uncheck the option 'Use year-only for date' (In the Bib and Citation Options tab of the Format editing dialogue). Then everything in the date field is output.
