Keywords and notes in reference list view

Post by NickB »

A minor thing, when entering keywords in the recommended format (one per line), you only see one full keyword on reference list view, with just the top few pixels of the second keyword/line being visible - looks a bit ugly.

a) Is there any reason why keywords should be entered on multiple lines, and

b) can display of multiline entries in notes/keywords fields in reference list view be tidied up easily?

Keywords have always been entered one-per-line, like names, and there are a variety of functions that rely on that.

As for the display, that's a cosmetic error. Only the first line should appear. I'll attend to it.

Finally, keywords are shown in the Info pane concise view (or you could create your own view if you like). There you can see all.

The same problem with column text wrapping seems to affect the title column too

I see it in your screenshots, but not on my Macs. What are your list settings (font and size)?

The problem doesn't occur in Lucida Grande font, but I then found that I had a carriage return in the title, the removal of which sorted out the title field in both fonts.

So, in Lucida Grande, multiline fields don't cause a problem in column view, but Helvetica leads to untidy wrapping.
