problem sorting on date added

Post by Gerben »

This is probably tech support but i am posting it here in case others have a similar issue.

I updated to 10.1 this afternoon and have had some problems since then:
- some errors when doing a Live Search
- if I sort on date added BE does not remember this anymore upon restart (I normally have last added refs on top)

After repairing and rebuilding the last issue remains. I have tried deleting prefs and see what happenes but no change.

I'm having a problem as well, which might be related even though it might seem the opposite in a certain way. I'm trying to revert to the default author-date sort, but my database seems stuck on a sort by author (even across launches). Jon tells me that just changing to hits or a group should give an author-date sort (if authors is my first column), but when I switch to hits or a group, I still see the sort by author!

I've tried rebuilding, to no avail.

Has anyone else had this problem (I'm running on a PPC Mac), and has anyone found a fix?

The issue Gerben reported was unrelated to the author-date sort.

If you can reduce this to a handful of references, make a db that contains just those, zip it, and send it to me.
