Resize bookends window
Resize bookends window
I wondered why resizing the width of the bookends window is not allowed. I like to have mellel and bookends open side by side (so i can insert references by dragging), but I find that when I work on my macbook I have to resize mellel to the point that it is difficult to read what I'm writing - just because bookends takes too much screen space. This is not a problem on my imac, but it is a serious one on the macbook.
I assume you mean for the reference window in particular. Unfortunately, it becomes pretty useless if made much smaller. As for the list view, don't forget you can close the groups pane. So if you position the window to the right you can see the author/date/beginning of the title and drag and drop, even on a MacBook...

I support the idea of being able to define a narrower reference window (even at the expense of a horizontal scroll bar in the Main tab). I'm using Skim or any other PDF viewer on the left side, and take notes in bookends on the right hand side. The reference window is wider than ideal to me. I also use a list window at the minimum width on the right side, and my word processor window on the left. I can then drag/drop and search references in the List window, and also to see the notes in the "Formatted" pane (I have it set to show my notes). A narrower List view would also be better to me.
