Pages, again

Post by frvs »

Jon,

While I have read your explanations regarding why you can't make BE scan Pages documents natively, I have also heard that Sente boasts that capability. So I've downloaded the Sente demo version (seeing is believing) and, sure enough, they have managed to scan Pages 08 docs without the turnaround of exporting to rtf and reimporting. So I take it that this is good news insofar as you should be able to perform a similar breakthrough, even regarding Pages 08, right? Or am I missing something? Sorry for this naif question from a techno-idiot.

Hi,

Implementing direct Pages support is something we are always evaluating (Apple doesn't make it easy). I have nothing to announce now, except that we're exploring possible methods to get better integration. You'll be the first to know if/when this is accomplished. :-)

Super! I do not doubt for a moment that you'll achieve it soon. Keep up the splendid work!

Terrific news! I have been using Pages as a replacement for Word and like it much better for many things. Almost as good as BookEnds :-) Having full integration would be terrific!!!!
