Format Issues

Post by germandanny »

Hi there, I'm having some trouble with the format of my citations. I have three questions, and I'll number them for the sake of convenience.

1. I can't seem to get the journal volume and issue to work with each other. It seems that Turabian author-date puts the issue number twice, no matter what I seem to tweak on the format manager. I have a screen shot of what my entries look like, as well as what the output looks like, but I can't seem to figure out how to add it here.

2. I'd like Turabian Author-Date to do "ibid" in the notes, but when I select an alternate method and select "author-date" and "ibid" (on the right of the format manager), it puts a full biblio style in the footnotes. Too high a price to pay for "ibid". Does anyone know how to keep the author-date format and also have "ibid"? Can I have my cake and eat it too?

3. I can't remember my third anymore. But if anyone can help me with the other two, I'd appreciate it a lot. When I think of the third, I'll post it, too.

Thanks everyone.

First, make sure that "include issue # with Vol" is unchecked. If it is, have you created your own Types? This can have such an effect (and there is a solution).

As for Ibid with author-date, you can't do this now. It's a feature request I'm aware of.

Please follow up #1 with me directly (support@sonnysoftware.com).

Thanks, Jon, that helped with #1. Took care of my "problem".
