small request

Post by danzac »

When creating a new citation and the reference window opens, tab takes you through the various fields, as one would expect. However, tabbing doesn't take you to the label section, rating, and reference type.

Can I request that these become part of the "cycle" of tabbing - the reference type especially. I would think this would be a good "first" in the cycle of tabbing, with the others at the end of the cycle.

I agree, it often happens to me that I forget setting the reference type correctly because this does not pop up in the cycle.

OT (but at least somewhat related):is it actually possible to set Bookends to always show the drawer in reference windows?

Bookends should remember the state of the drawer when you close/open the reference window (and between launches).

Strange, it works now. (Actually, I still had hazy memories that this was introduced a few point releases ago, but it did not seem to work…) Well, I will keep an eye on this, though, because I think I never ever collapse the drawer but it still happens to me that I have to open it manually. If I encounter this behavior again, I will try to replicate it and send a report!

another small request, too small to make it its own thread.

Could "label" be one of the options to place in the "all" pain. I use color labels quite a bit and sometimes forget what the color means. Because the color doesn't appear with the name in the contextual menu and is not an option to place in the "all" concise window, the only way for me to remember during the forgetful times is to open the citation or open preferences.

Thanks

I can certainly add it to the list of things to look into.
