Copac search returns error

When I choose COPAC as the source for online search on bookends I get an error message : error 22. ANy ideas about how this can be fixed?

I see the same error. There may be something changed or wrong with the COPAC SRU server. Let's wait and see if it resolves.

Any new thoughts on this COPAC error? It still occurs in today's 10.3.1 release. No doubt nothing to do with the release, but I've been waiting and hoping that it would resolve itself somehow.

No, I'm sorry but I have nothing new to report on that. I'll look into it again. But note that the new metadata detector feature works very nicely with Copac (which should appear in your File -> Go To URL menu now). You can open Online Search, select Copac from this menu, and then search in the Bookends browser. When you find a reference you can import it with the new data detector.

BTW, I see that I initially forgot to include the COinS import filter in the build I uploaded. That's fixed. But since you already updated, you should get that filter from our ftp site:

It looks like the Copac SRU server has changed. You can the contact information in the filter to search it, but the records are now returned in a format that Bookends can't parse (so the search won't do much good).

I'll see about adding support for direct Copac downloads in a future release, but for now please use the Bookends browser to search Copac.
