Bookends 10.2.1 semi-public beta

If you are interested in testing the next release of Bookends, please contact me for the download URL (support@sonnysoftware.com). We will probably have a full public beta when this phase is done.

The major new feature is "reference surfing" to sites like PubMed, JSTOR, Amazon, with automatic download of pdfs and/or web pages at those sites (arbitrary sites are supported, too).

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the wonderful new feature. JStor search works perfectly. But I can't figure out how to have the associated pdf download automatically. Any help much appreciated!

Hi,

Bookends 10.2.1 has not yet been released. We will have an open public beta soon, so you can try it then. (BTW, the download of the pdf is automatic, but you need to navigate to pdf to identify it in the Bookends browser first).

Hi, I was trying out the beta, but if I click anywhere on the app I get an error, so I deleted it. Now in the original (10.2) I'm getting "Nil Object Error" if I click anywhere on the app.
