Repetition of Issue Number

Post by jncomas »

Bookends 10.2.1 w/ OS 10.4.11

I've added the type "Review" to the "Chicago 15th A" format, using the following output code (based on the output code for "Journal Article"):

a. “t.”`Review of `s`, by `u1. f v$, no. $i` `(d): p-.

But this code results in a repetition of the issue number. For example,

Costa, Gustavo. Review of Vico: Genealogist of Modernity, by Robert C. Miner. Renaissance Quarterly 56(4), no. 4 (2003): 1168-69.

What's puzzling me: the particular section of code that outputs the issue number is unchanged from the code for "Journal Article," where the output is correct.

Hi,

You have call the new Type something like Journal Review Article (the Journal is key) so that Bookends treats the volume field as a number(issue) field instead of the title of a body of work.

Jon,

Thanks for the lightening-fast explanation.

Best,
