Problem with Book Chapter shortcut in Bookends 10.2.1

Hi,
I seem to be having a problem with the Apple] shortcut in Bookends 10.2.1. I use it very frequently to create a new book chapter based on the information provided in the reference selected. The Book Chapter is correctly generated within the databse. However the reference window that appears automatically is still that of the original book, and not of the Book Chapter - there is a lot of manual work involved in selecting book chapter type and moving titles around. Has anyone else witnessed this issue?
