Two questions about having multiple citations in one footnote. I am using Mellel and the format is Chicago Man.
1. If I want the footnote to contain more than one book so it will be something like "See Book X and Book Y", how can I remove the period that appears after "Book X" so it won't be "Book X. and Book Y."?
2. How can I also remove the period when I add more than one book to a citation and they are separated by a semi-colon, except that before the semi-colon there is a period.
Thanks.
Multiple citations in one footnote
Re: Multiple citations in one footnote
Off the top of my head I don't think either of those can be done automatically. #1 might be achieved if you told Bookends to separate multiple citations with just a space, and began the second citation with "and", as in
{\See \temp cite 1;\and \temp cite 2}

{\See \temp cite 1;\and \temp cite 2}

Manually making the changes is always an option.
