Hello,
I have an easy feature request for the google scholar online search, which I love.
Currently, if you do a gScholar search in Bookends' on-line search, and then click on one of the returned hits, the Bookends web interface goes directly to the publisher's page. Usually, you need a subscription to dl the pdf from that page.
However, many of us have institutional subscriptions that are properly linked in google scholar. So, if I do a gScholar search in my regular web browser, each hit has a "Find it @ Harvard" link to it, and that link takes me to a series of institutional subscription pages that eventually let me dl the pdf of the article.
Would you consider adding an option to the Bookends on-line search that takes people to the gScholar link rather than directly to the publishers page? That way, I could navigate to the pdf through my institutional proxies and subscriptions to dl the pdf right into Bookends, which I cannot usually now do.
thanks a ton!

Feature Request: access to google scholar search results
Re: Feature Request: access to google scholar search results
Hi,
Have you tried doing a GS search and then clicking on the web toggle button? This will open the page in Bookends browser, which should give you the same options as your standalone browser. If there is a problem with this, please followup directly to tech support.
