attachments missing upon 7.7.4 to 9.0.8 database conversion

Hello all!

I just upgraded to 9.0.8 from 7.7.4 and after reading the read me.txt file that came with BE 9, I tried to convert my 7.7.4 database over to 9.

I exported all my references in BE format from 7.7.4 and can import these into BE9 no problem, except that attachments are not transfered (no files appear under the "attach" button). I have tried setting my attachments folder to default for both BE7 and 9 and tried changing the attachments folder to my own in both BE7 and 9 before performing the citation export and import.

BE7 recognizes and allows me to open these attachments and in the keywords box there is a line designating which file to open (example •45171.pdf).

Has anyone run into this problem where everything works with the exception of the attachments being ported from BE7 to 9?

As you know, attachments are no longer kept in the Keywords field in Bookends 9. Try rebuilding your database in Bookends 7 and then re-exporting the Bookends file. If that doesn't work, you can send me your Bookends 7 database and I'll take a look (zip it first, please).
