scanning with bookends 8

Post by tom »

Hi Jon, Hi list,

two scanning problems:

1. when I do a proofreading scan, bookends changes special caracters like 'é' in temporary citations to a strange '√©' , the 'real' scan afterwards won't recognize this citation anymore and hangs up

2. from the user guide: Problem: font sometimes changes after a citation is inserted in a Word document.
I have this problem, unfortunately the suggested workaround does not solve the problem (or I didn't try it correctly...)

thanks for any hints

Hm, that's the ASCII breakdown of the unicode character. It shouldn't do that, of course.

This is addressed in the Read Me, I think. It's because the style sheet in the affected paragraph uses a font different from that of the citation, and Bookends honors the style sheet font. Edit the style sheet for the paragraph to the font you want.
