Since this is request day, I'll offer a few more, this time on the bib. window.
I would really like to see and know which label and which group a reference is in in the bibliography window. Unless I am mistaken, a label cannot even be applied to a reference in the bib. window.
Can I suggest that the drawer be extended a little lower for two lines:
GROUP:
LABEL:
Next to each of these can be a menu to choose. And the label can follow the color that is given to it.
Now this is the idea I like best, but if you are against GUI enhancements, at least for the time being, then may I suggest that 'Label' be placed in the "Refs" menu underneath 'Add to Group'?
Thanks, Danny

My apologies Jon
I meant the reference window (or citation window or fields window, or whatever we are calling it).
I think it makes sense to want to apply as much info to a new reference as you can from the reference window. Right now if I type if all into the fields, I can add it to a group from the Refs window, but I need to then move to the List view to assign a label to it.
hope that makes sense now.

Yes, much more now. Indicating the label (not a group, which I don't think belongs in the ref window view) is something I thought about, but put off because the reference window is already a bit crowded, and I don't like having to put this in the drawer (it really doesn't belong there). I'll think about it some more.

Just another thought to add to this while I was working in BE today. You have said that you don't think groups belong in the ref window, but I would think that any info you see in the concise window should be stuff you can see AND set in the reference window. The concise window shows the label and the groups a ref belongs to.
I have my label shorcut keys pretty well memorized. If these keys could be invoked in the reference window, that would be great. Another option for both adding to groups and labels is to just put it in a contextual menu. When I right-click the ref window, it just shows me the slide that is already available at the top. Put here instead the ability to add to groups as well as adding a label.
I think the color of the label (and the groups to which it belongs) would be nice in the ref window, but it is getting a little cramped.
Of course another option and a bit more of a radical change is to get rid of the slider at the top of the ref. window all together. There is already 5 shortcut keys for navigating, and you can keep the slider in the contextual menu. Just make a section identical to the hits section for the whole database, and that opens up a lot of property on the top of the ref. window. And you can add some color (via lables) too!
