Bookends and Papers

Post by jkr »

I have recently adopted Papers to my workflow in addition to Bookends, especially since the two cooperate very well with each other. Now that BE incorporates a very helpful part of the main function of Papers (PDF integration), I begin wondering, if Jon is thinking about incorporating at some point the second aspect (web-engine integration)...In other words, one could not only read the attached PDF in BE, but also click on a link and browse in BE as well. I would suspect that an integration of the things that Papers provide is rather difficult to achieve, but it sure would be nice to be able to browse (based on Apple's Safari web-engine) in the part that now displays the PDF. Just wondering out loud whether there are any plans in this direction?

Am I seeing postings that are not there?

I could swear, a couple of hours ago, there was a reply to this posting by Jon, saying that he is thinking about integrating a web-browser into Bookends. Now it is gone!

My ISP "upgraded" the server last night and we lost some posts. Orders are also being denied (internal server error). Hopefully it will be fixed soon...
