Science magazine format

Post by kga1978 »

Hi Jon,

I am currently formatting a paper for Science and I noticed one thing which is different in the output that BE gives you and the format required by Science. Basically if I have multiple references at the same time, BE will output it as follows:

gipperish, bla bla (4)(5)(6)(7)

but the format required by science is:

gipperish, bla bla (4-7)

Is there anyway I can get BE to do this, or do I have to do it manually after I have formated the paper (which basically means that I would have to make a separate document for this)?

Thanks in advance,
Kristian

Hi,

You should enter the references as

{cite1; cite2; cite3}

to get

(1-3)

By the way, in Bookends 10 you can also do

{cite1}{cite2}{cite3}

and it should work (no spaces between the citations!).

If that's not working, please contact me at tech support.
