Lost "bold" capability

Post by physci »

Hi,

My formatting options state this:
a. (d) t. j v, p-.

But my example (and results in Mellel) comes out as:
1. Haugk, L. S., John, K. L. & Metho, K. H. (1995) Nonsensical clueless gibberish title. Nature 131, 3669-3672.

I used to be able to bold any variable before without any problems. For some reason, now I just cant.

Pls help. Thanks.

Maybe you have set Bold text to some strangely-configured character style variant in the Mellel preferences? I would take a look at the settings in Mellel > Preferences > Bibliography

Hope this helps…

Hi,

Ozean raises one likely possibility. Another is that you have Bookends set to output the bib as plain text instead of styled text. If so, you won't see the bold in Bookends, either, when you output to the bibliography window. Check Biblio -> Bibliography Formatter and make sure the pop-up menu is set to Styled Text.
