Extra menu - Authors

Hi,

Thanks so much for offering this Extra menu, I found that Authors (term list) very helpful. However, I didn't know how to use the find function. When I try to use it, BE reports a (Out of Bounds Error).

Anybody knows how this works ?

Please report errors like this directly to tech support (support@sonnysoftware.com). I can reproduce it, and it will be fixed in the next update.

Sorry about that, I just didnt know if I was missing something or it was a bug, so I wanted to know first before reporting.

Now I have a question and a suggestion. Does BE has a note field for Authors? I mean a text field where I would put information about the Author (bio, cv, affiliation, research interests). Currently, I post such info in one of the author's books/references notes field.
As or the search, it would be nice to have a life-search field in this panel similar to the one in the main window.

Hi,

Each reference has a notes field, as you know. There is no "note" record intended just for keeping notes, if that's what you mean.

I meant a note field linked to Authors in which I can type information about the author.

when selecting an author from the Authors list window, on the right it displays a list of related references. It would be nice to have a text field that I can fill with birth-death dates and cities, education, variant names, affiliation and so on.
