overwhelmed...

Post by sebheck »

I just spent a couple hours (with the user guide) trying to find out how (or if!) it is possible to control the format of the citations (in the text and notes) SEPARATELY from the format of the bibliography. I would imagine it is obvious and easy...but I can't see the forest for the trees!

Hi,

See the section in the user guide on "custom citation formats". Basically, you create a format that tells Bookends how to output citations. Then, in the "parent" format, you call the custom format during the scan. See APA 5th as an example of a "parent" format that calls a custom format to create the citations.
