I have been inputting citations into Bookends, but haven't actually been copying citations from it for awhile. So I don't know when this change happened, but currently Bookends doesn't display references correct for APA style.
Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but this is what I see as the APA reference for a book:
Shah, P., \& Miyake, A. (2005). The Cambridge Handbook of Visuospatial Thinking. \emph{The Cambridge Handbook of Visuospatial Thinking}.
Articles are looking like this:
Miyake, A., Friedman, N., Rettinger, D., Shah, P., \& Hegarty, M. (2001). How are visuospatial working memory, executive functioning, and spatial abilities related? A latent-variable analysis\emph{.} \emph{Journal of Experimental Psychology: General}, \emph{130}(4), 621-640.
Is this a bug in Bookends? Or is there a simple solution? Thanks.
APA formatted references not correct
Re: APA formatted references not correct
Okay, this seems to be the same problem that occurred a couple of years ago to me. Is this something that gets changed with new updates to Bookends? The solution involves using the Bibliography Formatter, which I never play around with! At any rate, here was the solution for me:
BibTeX styles must have been inadvertently turned on in the Bibliography Formatter. To undo this:
1. Biblio -> Bibliography Formatter
2. Set the second pop-up menu to Styled Text (it reads BibTeX now).
3. Click Save Default button.
4. You're done.

Re: APA formatted references not correct
Hi,
That's the correct diagnosis and solution.
I get rare reports like this. I don't know why all of a sudden the preference setting changes (apparently) without the user's intervention. But in the few reports I've had resetting it as you have done takes care of it.
