Import format: insert date on import

Post by whshep »

When I use "insert on import" under "misc" in the import filter manager, I get something like this:

Fri Mar 13, 2009

But when I use "Insert Date" under the "Refs" menu, I get

March 13, 2009

The latter is what I want—how do I get the import filter manage to insert the date this way?

(Sorry if this has come up before, but the forum search seems to exclude words like "date" and "insert").

The dates are displayed slightly differently because they use different Mac OS X APIs (for historical reasons). I'll see how hard it would be to standardize on one.

Standardization would be optimal for us users.
