Multiple format in one document

Post by john1029 »

I'm a student in HK, we use both Chinese and English material and we need to cite their information in two set of citation format. Is it possible to use two set of format in the same document? Thank you!

Hi,

I'm not sure. Can you give us an example of how you'd like the final citation to appear?

For example (footnote):
1 William G. MacDonald, “The Spirit of Grace,” in Grace Unlimited, ed. Clark H. Pinnock (Minneapolis: Bethany Fellowship, Inc., 1975), 78.
2 Michael Scott. Horton, “A Classical Calvinist View,” in Four Views on Eternal Security, Counterpoints (Grand Rapids, Michigan: Zondervan, 2002), 30.
3 鮑會園:《羅馬書》卷上,天道聖經註釋(香港:天道書樓有限公司,1991),頁270。
4 Horton, “A Classical Calvinist View,” 31.
5 鮑會園:《羅馬書》卷上,頁186。

English titles in Chicago format, Chinese titles in Chinese format.

Thank you!

Since the punctuation is different, you can't use the same Type. I'd create a new Type (in preferences) for Chinese titles (e.g. Book Chinese) and assign this to the appropriate references. In the format, use the same Type and create the output you want.
