Word 2011 Compatibility?

Post by TXCiclista »

What's the general state of compatibility with Word 2011 (likely due out during the holiday season)? Betas have been out for some time, so I would assume you guys have been able to test and so on? I haven't really had the guts to try 11 with my beta copies and would like to get some insight before I do. :)

Hi,

No, I don't have the Word 11 beta. If you do, please do try it with Bookends and contact us off-forum with your experience (support@sonnysoftware.com).

Hi Jon-

Thanks for update of Word scripts for MS Word 2011 in ver. 11.0.8 of Bookends! All the scripts are working fine except for 'Insert Citation', which does not elicit any response in MS Word 14 (Office 2011) Beta 6.

Best.

Thanks for the feedback. Is a reference selected in the List View when you use this in Word (if not, nothing is inserted of course)?

Hi Jon- Thanks for quick reply and apologies for not getting back to you earlier. The 'Insert Citation' applescript did not work because I was trying to use the updated script with an earlier version of Bookends 11. Once I installed the updated application (Bookends 11.0.8) everything worked fine. That is, I am now able to use all your Bookends applescripts from within Microsoft Word v.14 beta 6 (part of Microsoft Office 2011 beta 6). Sorry for confusion and thanks for your quick feedback.

Best.

Thanks for addressing this. When I submitted a bug report and never heard back, I thought I'd been forgotten. nice to see it works. Kudos! You all are now officially ahead of Endnote! :D
