Bibliography in order cited

Post by jmckeown »

Hi
I need to produce a bibliography that is a list of works cited, in the order of their appearance in the text.
I wondered if unchecking "Alphabetize references" in Formats Manager would give this result, but it doesn't, in fact they seem to be still in alphabetic order.
Please is there a way to do this?
regards,
John

Unchecking alphabetized references is indeed how you do this. If you're using a custom citation format, make sure you're modifying the parent (the one that generates the bibliography). Example of formats that do what you want are J Immunol and Nature. Look at those as examples.
