Newbies questions (BE+Scriverner)

Post by azharhussin »

Hi All,

WARNING : This is a newbie question. ;)

I am currently trying the demo version of Bookends + Scriverner. I am delighted with the functionality and seamless integration between the two, however I have some difficulties in trying to scan the document, to ensure that the right formatting appear in my intended output (either PDF, or word document).

Long story short, I am looking for simple guideline on how to use Bookends + scriverner, from the dragging of reference in BE to Scriverner, then what needs to happen ?

As I warned you previously, this is a newbie question.....but I am stuck on this for a while now, and couldnt get any instruction from any web on the net.

Thanks.

Hi, newbie questions are welcome. I gather that you have been able to insert temporary citations into Scrivener (either by drag and drop, or by setting Scrivener as your "word processor" in preferences and then using Copy Citation). To scan, you would save the Scrivener text as RTF. Bookends can then scan the RTF file (Biblio -> Scan Document). Alternatively, if you want the Scrivener text to be manipulated with a word processor (Word, Mellel, NWP, etc.), you'd open the RTF file in your wp. Depending on which one you use, there are different options in Bookends for scanning the document at that point.
