Journal Glossary

Post by Nhaps »

I have previously created a journal glossary in order to have title abbreviation in footnotes but not in the bibliography, in agreement with my university standards. So I set my default style to BibTex but the interchange between abbreviation and full title is not working.

My reference window has the journal title fully spelled, but the BibTex formatted citation appears abbreviated. That would work for footnotes, but not bibliography where it should be fully extended. The solution I am seeking is to create a field called "shortjournal" and have BE transfer the glossary automatically to that field.

Another option I found is to use "fulljournaltitle" under Formats Manager. I will be testing the output in Latex...

In the format are you using

f

for full journal title? If you use

j

you'll get the short form.
