Sync and antivirus

Has anyone had any issues with direct sync between Bookends and Bookends on Tap when antivirus software is installed on the Mac? I installed some antivirus software today -- British Telecom branded McAfee -- and when I tried a sync, BOT could not find Bookends. I made Bookends an exception in the list of protected applications in McAfee. No change. Rebooting solved nothing. Then I uninstalled McAfee and the sync ran perfectly.

We don't run antivirus software, but your experiment seems definitive. I suspect that whatever the problem is won't affect cloud sync (Bookends for iOS), but if you need Bonjour sync you might experiment with other antivirus software.
