Bibtex export misses references

Hey Jon,

I recently noticed that when I am exporting my library to bibtex some of the entries are inevitably getting lost in the process. I've currently about 2600 references in bookends and a random subset of these is missed by the export to bibtex or scan of a document that contains bibtex keys. I wonder whether I am doing something wrong, the number is simply too large or whether this can be fixed.
