I have two questions
1. Is there a way to set a default sort in list view? I would like for the list to always be sorted by Date Added by default.
2. Every time I drag a PDF into the library, it will autocomplete and rename the PDF as desired but then BE always goes to a blank list showing 0 of 0 refs. I then have to manually click on All every time. Is there a way to just have it go to all after the PDF added and matched?

1. The default sort is by the first column. Set it to Date Added.
2. What you're seeing isn't what should happen. Rebuild your library. If you still have problems, write to tech support.
