Initiate an autocomplete search without an attachment?
Initiate an autocomplete search without an attachment?
How do I initiate an autocomplete search on a reference that has no attachment? The context menu option to Autocomplete Paper... is not present and is grayed out in the main menu. I am not interested in doing an OpenURL search (via the browser). In essence ... I have a number of imported references that contain the title and authors. I would like to work through them efficiently to capture the remaining information.

Re: Initiate an autocomplete search without an attachment?
That would be Autofill From Internet if you have the DOI, PMID, or a few other unique IDs. If you don't have these, you can try Refs -> DOI -> Ge DOI, and if there is sufficient metadata for Crossref to identify the reference it will be imported and you can then Autofill From Internet.

Re: Initiate an autocomplete search without an attachment?
I have just the title and authors. I do not need nor want the attachment. I want only to fill the remaining information to export as a bibliography for a journal article reference list.
Please consider opening up the option to do a title search to autocomplete paper... even when the reference has no attachment.
EDIT
My substitute method is to attach a dummy PDF, do an autocomplete paper, manually fill in the author and title, search, import, and detach the PDF. The power that you provide in the autocomplete paper approach is really being under-used.
