adding fields to temporary citations

Post by zoe12345 »

Hi Again,

I have some newspapers that have no authors. The temporary citations now only include the date and the newspaper, but not the name of the article. These identifiers aren´t enough to make the citation unique, and when I scan the document, there are always several different options of articles to choose from.

Know that I can add fields into temporary citations too, but even after reading tutorial guide, I´m not exactly sure how.

Thanks very much again for your help!

Best,
Zoe

Hi Zoe,

You can do one of two things. Either

1. Manaully type in some unique info from the record into the temporary citation (in your word processor) -- Bookends does not care how the text got there, or

2. Set Bookends to use Author/Date/Unique ID in the temporary citation.

Option 2

Option 2 would be great, but how do I do it?

Thanks!

There's an option in the Preferences, in the Scan and Bibliography pane.
