Hello everyone
Recently, I switch from endnote 8 (used since version 2) to bookend. I had too much problems with the last version of EN
Nevertheless, there were some very interesting features that I have not been able to discover in BE
First, I have several databases and for a single article, references originates from these various databases. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find how to format my article with two databases. BE use only one database and miss the second one. I have not found anything either in the doc or in the forum. Does someone have any clue ?
A second issue concerns multiple references. Sometime two or more references have been added separately close to each other in a text (at different time for exemple). Upon formating, these references are treated separately. Is there any way that they are formated together (except by adding them together in the document)
thank you for your help
Thierry
use of multiple databases and other questions
Hi Thierry,
Bookends can only use one database at a time for searching, scanning, etc. We recommend that you consolidate your references into one database (you can still have multiple databases if you like, but with the restriction mentioned).
I think you mean
{cite1}{cite2}
Change them to this
{cite1; cite2}
and Bookends will place them in the same group.
