For those of us that are doing CS research....
JabRef has a very useful feature that I would love to see in bookends; web search. This allows one to search IEEEXplore and citeseer and download references (including abstracts) directly into the tool.
Any chance this can be done in bookends?

I don't know -- are these via a z39.50 protocol?

I doubt it. JabRef is open source so have a peek...
