I have cloned libraries a few times already due to similar problems and it is a trouble.

Pressing option and sync now made it much worse.
Only a few references remain and hundreds others are lost from the computer. I have the backup on the iPad but still...this is looking really bad.

I have tried Papers and Readcube in the past and after a recent purchase of iPadPro with the Apple Pencil, I moved to Bookends on Tap as it seem to be the ONLY software that allows reference management AND writing on the PDFs. it's great, thank you!
