It appears to be the display of the pdf of articles attached to a reference within the main library that crashes the program. If I turn off the "use webkit to display pdf's" selection then the pdf is displayed and the program does not crash.
I hope this helps Jon.

Re: after snow leopard upgrade
My problem that occurs in snow leopard is that bookends crashes when I try to open my database. The database opens and you see the window for a fraction of a second and then bookends quits with no crash report. The database opened just fine under Leopard.
However it will open a new database and my ...

Web of Science in 10.1.3
How do you search Web of Science? I don't see it as an option in the onlie search window. Do I have to configure something and if so what and how?

Re: attachment management
Actually after clicking the search icon in the groups pane the number of refs was updated to "showing 1182 of 1171", the difference being 9 (see above) in the "Refs with PDFs" group.
However these 9 refs without an attachment still appear in the search. Why?

Attachment management
Hi Jon,
I have in my attachment folder 1201 pdf files of journals that I use in the Bookends database. Presumably, if all are attached to a reference in the database, the following SQL search that I have named "Refs with PDFs" should report "showing 1201 of 1201 references".

How do you select only the references without an attachment?
I would like to select all the references without attachments and check for the pdf's online for downloading.
Also is there a way to determine how many of your references have an attached pdf?

Filing downloaded journal articles for future reference.
I am curious how users are filing their downloaded pdf articles. I made use of long filenames for easy searching in the case of a third party reference software failure (God Forbid).

What is the best way to file pdf's of your papers these days
Earlier some years ago when I was a grad student, I would file the pdf's I downloaded by creating long file names so that I could search for them effectively in the finder. The file name would look like the following.
Akerlof G, JACS v54(11) 1932, Dielectric constants of organic solvent-water ...

Suggestion for Groups Sidebar Enhancement
Hi Jon,
I have just gotten the new iTunes 7.0.0 and it organizes libraries, music stores, external media, and playlists as subgroups of the above in the sidebar.
I thought that it would be nice to group the types of groups in the side bar of Bookends in a similar manner.
For Example:

How do you generate bibtex cite key for all references?
I know how to do this with open reference one at a time (Command-Shift-K), but is there a quick way to do this with all your references at once?
Thanks,
Matt
