Re: Getting rid of the standalone reference window
I know Command-1 to Command-4 but anyway I do not get used to the order after years because it’s very un-intuitive from my point of view. That's all. But if the option to define which fields are shown in the main tab and which in the additional fields-tab that point would loose its relevance for me....

Re: Getting rid of the standalone reference window
Hi Jon, thanks for your answer. "e will see how it will be in use. Spoken from the actual state I would have a few wishes for the reference pane: - An option to have the reference pane shown left and the lists right. - Option to define which fields are shown in the tab "Additional fields&q...

Re: Getting rid of the standalone reference window
I always use the standalone window. If this window will disappear it would be fine if one could define that the edit pane is on the left side of the screen. I can't tell you why but I find it very hard to have the focus on the right edge of the screen.

Re: Bookends 11 pre-announcememt
Hi Jon,
that looks really nice. Will we be able to have only symbols (without text) and also small symbols? Or is this also restricted by the same technical problems?
Thanks for your great work and best regards.

Re: label sorted lists?
:( I can't sort by labels? Then I would like to suggest this as a new feature. Maybe the most easiest way would be to add an Option "Labels" in Preferences > Lists > Fields to display? Of course I could use smart groups for that too, but that's not the best solution for what I want to do.

Re: request: edited book and book chapter view
I'm guessing that Reiner means producing a bibliography like that automatically, without any need to put a reference to the edited book in the document to be scanned. What I mean is, if the document contains references to more than x papers in one edited book (where x might be 1, 2 or 3, say), trun...

label sorted lists?
Hi there,
I think it is possible but I can't find how I can manage it to sort my list view by the color labels. Any help is appreciated.

Re: request: edited book and book chapter view
Hi Jon, that are great news. Will there also be a possibilty to deal with edited books and book chapters in bibliographies? That would be very useful. An example: April, B.: just a chapter. In: Zimmermann 1987, pp. 231–253. Helmer, U.: another chapter. In: Zimmermann 1987, pp. 2–45. Zimmermann, J.: ...

Question on MacUpdate Bundle
Hi Jon,
is the Bookends licence bundled in the MacUpdate Bundle handled as standard licences with updates/upgrades? (I'm just asking before telling friends about that.)

Re: same surname different firstname generating (2007a), (2007b)
It's not a bug, it's just the way the program works. If Bookends sees two citations that are identical but refer to different references, it differentiates them with a letter after the year. This is what is happening here. You can differentiate them them outside of the citation (with first names), ...
