Just "and" between two authors/editors
Is there a way to insert just " and " between two authors or editors, while maintaining the ", and " formula for the last of three authors/editors? That is, I want this ultimate result: Allardyce Nicoll and John Smith, eds., ... If there are just two editors. But if there are thr...

Publisher city and state
Sometimes my footnotes or bibliographies require just the city for a publisher, but sometimes they want the city and state. For instance, Princeton University Press is sometimes "Princeton, NJ" and sometimes just "Princeton." Similarly, Harvard UP is in Cambridge MA but Cambridge...

Blog posts
I'm just beginning to populate my Bookends database with blog posts, using the "Internet" category. I'd be curious to learn how other users are handling these, and what practices are best to follow. For instance, where do you put the name of the blog? I'll be citing mostly using Chicago or...

Dear all: I use Bookends in conjunction with Devonthink (DT). In DT I store my PDFs of articles in folders named with a custom citation I created. Like so: Screen Shot 2012-05-30 at 09.50.08 .png You can see that my custom citation is {Buxton, “Mourning for Sidney,” 49187}. Below, the hyperlink _ Fa...

Re: ciatation and page field...
I'm using citations with the @ at the end to indicate page numbers or ranges, like so (in Scrivener): Screen Shot 2012-03-27 at 1.11.17 PM.png I used the Formats Manager to remove periods from the ends of citations, because (as you see here) I like to insert my own. For instance, here's the format f...

Abbreviate University > U and Press > P
I have a lot of citations with University Presses.
Is there a way to automatically abbreviate University to U and Press to P?
So in my database the publisher appears as Manchester University Press, but in the footnotes (say) Bookends makes this Manchester U P?

Re: How to sync with Dropbox?
And is there also a way to sync all your formats and preferences through Dropbox? Or is that an unnecessary system? I recall Jon mentioned something about the Sync function, which I've been unable to figure out yet. I'll search around the forums a bit more, but any guidance would be appreciated! Mic...
