Re: Word / Scrivener integration with Bookends

Also look at Accessibility. If that doesn't work, you may have to reset permissions in Terminal (please google for that).

Also, know that you can insert temp citations by drag and drop.

Re: Can we offset the automatic page numbering?

Not automatically.. Either the PDF has the first page set internally, which Bookends uses (probably in your case, it's seemingly telling Bookends it's 113.) or it doesn't (or it's set to 1, which I gather isn't the case in this example), in which case Bookends uses the first page in the Pages field....

Re: Word / Scrivener integration with Bookends

System Preferences -> Privacy. Make sure Bookends is allowed to talk to Scrivener (and the Finder, if listed there).

Re: Can we offset the automatic page numbering?

If the PDF page number (embedded in the PDF, not what you see) begins with 1, and If the reference associated with the PDF has a page number or range in the Pages field Bookends, will start the page numbering in the notecard with it. For example, if the Pages field contains 45-49, Bookends will numb...

All imports bring up the dialog, which has options that you may want to change when importing (e.g. import to hits list, move file to Trash after importing). Pressing Return accepts the settings, no need to mouse and click. I could have Bookends just ...

Re: PDFs dragged out Bookends "corrupt"

I'll have to try in Catalina later. But maybe it's a security issue? Try giving Bookends Full Disk Access in System Preferences -> Privacy.

Re: New MacBook Pro and Scanning command missing

Add-ins are recognized by Word when the app launches -- if it was running when Bookends installed the scripts they wouldn't show up until you relaunched Word.

Re: Missing PDFs

Look in the attachments folder -- are the PDFs there, and has iCloud actually downloaded them to your HD?

Re: bst output style file import to Bookends?

I took a look, it's a garden variety format. I created one for Bookends. If you want that please write to support@sonnysoftware.com.

Re: bst output style file import to Bookends?

I do not. Have you tried Biblio -> Create Format Catalog? It shows examples of all the formats we ship, and one or more are likely to be what you want (or close to it, and can be tweaked). There aren't that many variations in scientific journals.
