Need Immediat Help - Citation Conversion
Ok. I scanned my Mellel document using Bookends. Now all of my citations are highlighted in purple! Is this a Mellel or a BookEnds issue? How do I fix? I need to submit my paper and this is the first time this has happened.

Re: Missing Period in Publisher Field
Ok. It was an issue with my code. Now my code looks like (in part):
` (`l: u~,~ d;$ reprint, $u12`).`
Jon, just so I understand, why is the binding of the comma necessary to preserve the period?
Thanks.
Jim

Missing Period in Publisher Field
I need to enter "n.p." in the publisher field because a book I am referencing does not include the information. However, when I check the format, BE is showing ...(London: n.p, 1696). The key here is the period is being removed. I am fairly certain there is a setting for this but I cannot ...

Re: Abbreviations List
Thanks Jon. That was very helpful. Surprisingly (or perhaps not), Apple's Numbers (08) could not open the Journal Glossary, but MS Excel would (2007 in Fusion). Still, this will save me a lot of typing. Thanks again for the tip.

Abbreviations List
I need to create an abbreviations list for my thesis which lists all of the abbreviations for Journals, Series, etc., that are used in the thesis. I am using the SBL Journal Glossary for abbreviations, but I do not need the entire list. Is there an easy way to generate a list of abbreviations used i...

I will do this next week, after I have finished my thesis revision submission and have had a chance to double check the accuracy of the format.

Re: Turabian Formatting Glitch? -Solved?
I have amended the majority of the formats on account of missing fields, like you said. What is the best way for me to send them to you? Some steps on how-to would be helpful. Thanks. Jim

Thanks, Jon. Perhaps I changed this at some point and I forgot or didn't realize it. All is well now. Thanks again.

Turabian Footnote Glitch 2 Lack of Space before "And Others"
In the Turabian Footnotes format, when the bibliography option "and others" is chosen from the Bibliography Format - Bibliography Options menu, no space is inserted between the editor's name and the phrase "and others." I do not recall this being a problem with previous versions....

Turabian Formatting Glitch? -Solved?
Ok. I previously posted about a comma before the parenthesis in the book format for the Turabian Footnotes format. The standard BE code looks like : a, t,$, ed. $e, $, ed. $u1~,~ $trans. $u3*~, ~u2~ ed.~`, `u13~ vols.~|~ ~f|~, vol. ~v` (`l: u, d;$ reprint, $u12`).` The output looks like this: Henri ...

Bib Format Manager does not match Footnote after Scan
I entered bibliographic information for a book with a series title, "Analecta Biblica". BE Ser Title Problem.tiff However, when I use a modified Turabian Footnote format, the result I get is "Analecta biblica", both in BE and in Mellel after a scan. BE Bib Format Error.tiff I am ...

Re: Turabian--footnotes versus biblio
Thank you so very much for your assistance, Jon. After looking up "format window" in the user guide (sorry, I am learning the names of the various windows in several programs at once), I found the Citation tab with ease. This has solved my problem! Thank you again for your very timely resp...
