Hi,
I already asked that but I forgot it (and I don't see how I can look up already asked questions from me in this forum):
how can I make visible the field "date entry was added" (or named similarly) in the list so I can see which entries were added in the last –say – 2 months?

Re: How can I see the entry date?
It's shown in the bottom strip of the library window, under the concise view pane on the right (if it's open). It was not open, but it worked. Thanks. You can also add a column "Added" to the reference list (in Preferences, ... I looked under Prefernces / Refs /Field Labels but couldn't f...

How can I proceed within a hit list form one hit to the next
I want to add the same phrase in a couple of entries. I don't know if there is a generic change (or somewhat like that), but I also don't know how to proceed form one entry in hit list to the next. This is what I did: I searched for "Stappenmethode". I got a list with 19 hits. Within all t...

Search fails in one case
I just entered a new entry Weiss, Jie W., David Weiss, J. (2012): „Irrational: at the Moment”. Synthese 189, S. 173-183. When searching for "Weiss" I get nothing. When searching for "weis" I get 37 entries, for instance Weisberg, Jonathan (2010): „A note on design: What’s fine-tu...

Bookends 11.1.7 can't find one specific entry by author
I have a database with 14178 entries and Bookends 11.1.7 I have reindexed and rebuilt the database but the following peculiar phenomenon remains. I am looking for this entry Bassler, O. Bradley (2006): “The Surveyability of Mathematical Proof: A Historical Perspective”. Synthese 148:1, S. 99-133. Wh...

Re: Title won't go in Title
Hi, Rebuild the database and see if that helps. Jon Sonny Software Hi, thanks. I will do that but I stumbled over a solution in the meantime anyway: I copied the title into another field via "Past Plain Text" and then I copied that text into the title field also via "Past Plain Text&...

Title won't go in Title
I've created a new bookends entry and it looks like this right now: Sober, Elliott (2007): Quarterly Review of Biology 82:1, S. 3-8. As usual I've copied the title of this journal article "What Is Wrong with Intelligent Design?" into the title item (space or whatever you call it). But it d...

Stop while formatting references doesn't work
When I want to use the reference entry for the "Works cited" section in my essay I proceed via File / Print References / OK / Preview and finally Copy / Paste the previewed printed reference into the text document. Every now and then it happens there is no reference sensitive (my fault). T...

Italics in the display pane get distorted in the text system
In the reference view there is (since 10.6 ?) that very convenient preview of the "printed reference" of the sensitive entry in the reference list ("display pane"). But when I copy and paste the preview of the "printed reference" into the text (Neo Office) the part in i...

Re: Is there a JSTOR relation?
Thanks. I think I keep to my old procedure with copy and paste. When I do a download of a journal article I don't know if its in JSTOR or some other Journal depository. I simply access it via the journal name, whatever depository system the article is stored in. Only when I am at journal level I am ...

Re: Is there a JSTOR relation?
Yes I found JSTOR in the User's Guide. Thanks so far. Am I mistaken or do I have to search in JSTOR via Bookends? My approach usually is different. I know which journal article I need , mostly from a reference in another journal article or a book. So I don't search for title or author or keywords or...

Is there a JSTOR relation?
Somewhere in the new features for Bookends 10 I read about JSTOR. I usually copy + paste all the information from a JSTOR journal article into a new or duplicated Bookends reference. That's long-winded since I have to do it in several steps (article title, author usually goes in one, but the journal...
