Re: Disambiguation in custom citation format
Weird. Will run some tests on a clean Mellel file to see what I'm doing wrong.

Re: Disambiguation in custom citation format
Disambiguation only seems to work with author-date citation formats, from what I tested. Guess I'll have to set my citation format to always display the short title. Oh well, no big deal.

Disambiguation in custom citation format
I use a customized version of the ABNT standard (because the standard itself is crap, not Bookends's implementation of it) with a custom citation format going in the footnote. Is there a way to get this custom format to function with disambiguation? I use "op. cit." for repeated references and the ...

Re: Import PDF problems
Hello again,
I am successfully using the import & autocomplete from an on-campus location, therefore IP-authenticated. However, there is this odd behavior going on: the first time I click "search", I get an alert box saying it requires IP authentication; if I click a second time it returns a result ...

Re: Import PDF problems
On a related note, the autocomplete function doesn't seem to recognize my proxy server.
I use a proxy to get IP authentication for JSTOR. It works under Safari. It works on Bookeds' Web Search tool. But with Autocomplete it says I am not IP-authenticated. I suppose this is a bug, or am I missing ...

Re: Complete bibliographic information using Search services
On a related note, is it possible to have Bookends not rename downloaded pdfs from the internet search window? When attaching a file manually I can turn it off, but when importing references it will not give me this option. Since I do all my pdf management from within Bookends I have no need for ...

terms list for cities
I'll hitch a ride on this topic and ask for a terms list for the City field. Usually when dealing with humanities the same cities come up quite frequently: Cambridge, Paris, New York, Milan, São Paulo… It would be convenient to have a city autocomplete.

First impression
In the attachment inspector, the "+" and "-" have become invisible (but they still work if you click where they ought to be).
More important, this version apparently refuses to recnognize user-created bibliography formats, whether they were created before updating to the beta or directly in the ...

Bug? Page numbers and custom text in citations
I have found a way to get Bookends confused. When I input both page numbers and a custom text in a citation I get "???" as the scanned output. For example:
{Author, Title} >> works fine.
{Author, Title@123} >> works fine.
{Author, Title\, § 456\} >> works fine.
{Author, Title@123\, § 456 ...

Feature request: dock utility
It would be nice to have a feature similar to Apple's Mail.app, where you right-click on the dock icon and it gives you the option of creating a new message without showing the main application window. When I'm dealing with references from pdf files I don't want to have my screen cluttered with the ...
