I don't think you can do that. In this particular case, you can do a search/replace after the change case and convert "Acm" back to ACM.

You can unscan the document in Word so that the curly bracketted temporary citations are visible. After getting the paper into Mellel, there is a button (in the Bibliography Palette) that will convert text to Mellel citations -- the default is to convert any text in curly brackets to a citation, but ...

I don't like to comment on new features until they are ready for release, and this is doubly true when another company is involved. Ori has already mentioned that enhanced bibliography/reference management functions were on tap for Mellel, though, and I don't mind confirming that. I won't get into ...

Just like it does now -- scanning RTF (I assume the macro we provide, or another, will work as it does now, too). Personally, I think you're going to want to stick with Bookends and Mellel, if you catch my drift...

I'm not sure it's strange, but I think you've got it.

Bookends provides basic formats for numbered citations and author-date citations. If you want more flexibility, as for footnotes, you can design a citation to be anything you want ( a custom citation) just like you'd design a bibliography ...

Sure, it's easy. Just put

050a

before the Call Number field in the filter. I'll add this to the filter for the next update, too.

Hi,

What do you mean by "can't enter the endash in the replace field"? I can, by typing Option-- (Option-dash). And the find/replace works for me. If this doesn't work for you, please contact tech support for followup.

BTW, replacing the dash with an endash is unnecessary. If you enter

p– (that ...

Have you tried the ~ (tilde) character, which can bind to the following field (perhaps preceded by a |)? Please check the User Guide for how to use this.

There are always going to be exceptions that are tricky to handle. I don't think a markup language embedded in the title text is the answer, though. I'll see about capitalizing the first character after a colon AND a quotation mark.

Hi Danny,

For now, you can enter the Greek/Hebrew/German words you want left alone in the "exclude" list in preferences. I'm not sure what the best way to indicate that an entire title should be excluded would be.

You could create a reference entry with a new Type (maybe "Cite No Author" or something) and then cite it this way:

As Joe Bloggs observes in his {citation}...

Alternatively, if you know you are going to stick with MHRA, you could drag and drop the formatted citation where you want it and just ...
